Corcovado National Park

Described by National Geographic as the most biologically intense place on earth. This eco tour requires hiking on tropical rainforest trails to the Ranger stations.

Osa Travel Costa Rica offers two guided adventures to the park:

Carate/ Sirena/ Carate
Enter via Carate, hike 17 kilometers on the beach and thru the Jungle to Sirena Station where you will explore the trails and beach seeking wildlife which is normally abundant. Leave Sirena on the morning of the third day for Carate.

3 days 2 nights $475 (2 to 3 pax) $435 (4 to 6 pax)

Los Patos/ Sirena/ Carate
Enter via Los Patos ranger station, this involves wading across rio Rincon and hiking to Los Patos, hike distance will be between 4 to 10 kilometers depending on how far the 4wd taxi can take you up river to drop off point.

First night camping at Los Patos. Second Day hike 18 kilometers thru pristine rainforest to Sirena station. Which is your base for exploring the local trails seeking wildlife. Normally you can see, Monkeys, tapirs, coatis, agoutis, anteaters, macaws, toucans, parrots, sometimes at night turtles can be seen laying eggs. At high tide you can see bull sharks swimming up the rio sirena. At low tide large crocodiles bask on the banks. On the morning of the last night, you will hike the 17 kilometers to Carate.

Boat or fly options.
The tours listed above are all hiking on jungle trails or on pristine beaches. It is also possible to fly or boat into Sirena ranger station.

Fly from Puerto Jimenez to Sirena: $380 one way,(1 to 4pax).
Charter a boat from Puerto Jimenez to Sirena. $385.00 one way (up to 8 pax).

Most Corcovado tours require a one night stay in Puerto Jimenez prior to departure for the park and on return. Please factor that in when arranging flights, rental cars etc.
