Roger Blakemore About Osa Travel Costa Rica
Located in Puerto Jimenez, Osa Peninsula Costa Rica, Osa Travel Costa Rica is owned and operated by Roger Blakemore, his family and locals. Roger grew up in England, and has since lived in Africa, Australia and New Zealand where he grew to respect the environment and its ecology. He met his wife Sandy in California where they raised their family until coming to Costa Rica in 2000. Roger and his family are amoung the few full time residents of the Osa who cater to the needs of those travelling to this unique area of the world. Their knowledge and full time commitment to serving travelers to the Osa insures a successful and safe journey to this biogically intense area.

The Blakemore Kids
Gareth Blakemore was so inspired by his first trip to the Osa he obtained a Bachelors in zoology from Humboldt State University. He has worked on conservation projects in California and Arizona. Currently he works as a researcher and guide on the Osa Peninsula. Seen with Boa (right).
Kelly (second eldest) specializes in the field of wildlife rescue and animal behavior. She currently is working with primates with the zoo located in Parrot Jungle Island, Miami. Kelly also worked for two years at a wildlife rescue refuge on the Osa Peninsula and in Belize. Seen with Ocelot.
The youngest of the three children, Alanna, is currently pursuing a degree in nutrition at Chico State University in California and visits the Osa on school breaks. Seen with baby anteater (left).
